COMMITTEE ROLES: APPLICATIONS OPEN
 

The LSE Global Right to Education Project, which partners LSE students and staff, to mentor underprivileged youth and humanitarian workers in conflict zones abroad (In English & Scholarship applications), is looking for dedicated applicants to join the existing committee. The following roles are available, and applications may be submitted by Monday 16th February: 

 

  • Logistics & Management Director: We are looking for a pro-active  individual who can work efficiently to deadlines, to work with the existing logistics team.This is core to the project's initiation, and its successful follow-through. Responsibilities include establishing suitable new partnerings between mentors and mentees, emailing newly matched groups, as well as monitoring progress registers. Ideally good with databases/IT/email lists and project management logistics, though not essential.

  • English Officer: To assist existing team, with developing lesson plans. Ideally, should have prior experience of teaching English as a foreign language (or IELTS/ similar qualifications), and be a Postgraduate student or staff member.  

  • Country Co-Ordinator (Pakistan):  We are looking for someone to co-ordinate, develop and establish liaisons with underprivileged institutions and students in Pakistan. Pro-activeness and willingness to invest time to complete objectives quickly, are key requirements! Speaking Urdu and knowledge of the NGO sector is beneficial, but not essential. 

  • Outreach Officer: Developing external liaisons and sponsorships, as well as with the LSE Students' Union and academic staff.  Will also be working with our social media team. Prior experience ideal, and good networking skills.    

  •  Mailing List: Responding to project-related enquiries, and assistance with delivering communications to mentors, and mentees abroad. 

  • Website Design: Anyone who is experienced in website design (or coding), to develop our existing site.
